Projects:

XSS:
XSS is a university affiliated skate, longboard inline and bmx club, founded to provide support for extreme sports athletes at the uni. Every year so far we have taught around 2-4 people to skate from scratch, and generally have a session with 6-8 people on a weekly basis with additional sessions on sundays and sometimes in the week. Current membership is around 20 students, with numerous local longbarders affiliating themselves with the group.
We have secured club sponsorship from a local pub and skate shop, and have close links with Longboard sessions and the rest of the community.

UKLL:
Uk longboard league is the name of a group consisting of myself and 2 other riders who are trying to push and develop the UK longboard scene. It's the official group name necessary to be presentable for the hiring of venues etc, and to represent the interests of uk longboarders in general.

6-3-1 series competition:
with the UKLL, a 3 way outlaw competition was set up. It proved one of the drivers for the 2010 outlaw league. The goals of pushing people's ability and creating bigger better sessions and having more fun have been fulfilled far better than anticipated so far.

Hog Hill race days:
2 Successful longboard events at hog hill - 1 producing £600 profit for the UK longboard scene.
XSS club trip to Hog hill - To be organised as a multi-uni training weekend for beginners and a fun session for riders.

Andover Skate Park Project:
Part of the bid team working on behalf of the locals to bring all the ideas together and present the council with the info they need to build a new top-rate skate facility, most likely including the famous Andover bowl that was skater-built in the late 70's.

Disciplines:
Slide: average, but learning fast
DH: average, waiting for better local hills for practice
Push: PB marathon 2h8mins
Slalom: working knowledge
flatland: basic boardwalking, confident pumping
Switch: learning fast due to sliding and teaching people to skate.
Park/bowl: Will do once Andover is done ;)
